The Union of Lucio + Jérémie

Our Story

We’re thrilled to have you at our union celebration, and can’t wait to well, celebrate!

Our journey began on September 1, 2010 when we had lunch in Arlington, Virginia, where we both worked. Jérémie was wondering why a handsome young man like Lucio would be interested in an older man. After some time spent with some ups and downs, we both realized that age really doesn’t matter and instead, a deep connection of friendship that led to love and commitment happened, and remains strong to this day.

Our journey continues in New York City, where we both flourished in our careers and ended up working for the same company! Although living in NYC wasn’t always easy, the experiences and opportunities we’ve lived through made our relationship and commitments to each other even stronger.

In mid-February 2017, Jérémie surprised Lucio with a trip to Zacatecas, México, his hometown. He had an ulterior motive. A proposal! Lucio said YES on top of the Eden Silver Mine overlooking his beautiful city.

We were hoping to plan our union celebration for September 2020, but then, we all know what happened.

In the summer of 2020, we decided that it was time for a big move. We wanted to be closer to family and realized our time in NYC was over.

Fast track to March 2021, we move to Frederick, Maryland! We couldn’t be happier living in this beautiful historic little city.

We are where we want to be and now, we want to share our love and commitment with everyone we love.

On September 10, 2022, we joyfully invite you to celebrate our union in the beautiful wine country of Maryland at Big Cork Vineyards. We can’t wait to see you!
